RESPONSIVENESS TO CURRENT COMMUNITY NEEDS: Abilities Center of Southern New Jersey responded to community need when it opened its doors in 1963. with a mission to provide employment services for people with disabilities. We can honor the Center's founders by sustaining their commitment to the Center's mission.
RESPONSIBILITY TO FUTURE GENERATIONS: Disability isn't going away and the causes change. New Jersey has one of the higheest rates of autism in the nation - we plan to prepare and adapt.
Currently, Abilities Center of Southern New Jersey is facing reductions in funding for vulnerable populations in the NJ state budget process. Compounding this, charitable contributions have decreased since the beginning of the recession.
Demand for services, however, has never ceased.
